Privacy policy
The short version
- Your recipes, photos and voice notes stay on your phone. There's no account, and nothing is uploaded to us or anyone else.
- We don't collect any information about you, and the app has no ads or analytics.
- A backup file or a shared recipe goes only where you send it.
- Uninstalling the app deletes everything it kept on your phone.
Who we are
The Maa ki Rasoi app ("the app") is made by Waenx Development ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app keeps and where. Questions go to skew.mb1994.admin@gmail.com.
What stays on your phone
The app keeps these in its private storage on your phone, where other apps can't read them:
- what you call your mom, and your name, if you give it
- your recipes: their names, ingredients, steps, tips, occasions and memories
- photos you add: of the dish, or of her handwritten recipe
- voice notes you record
- when you last made a backup
The app has no server and no account. None of this is sent to us, and we can't see it.
Camera, photos and microphone
The app opens the camera only when you tap to take a photo, and your photo library only when you tap to choose one. It keeps just the photo you pick, shrunk to a smaller copy.
It uses the microphone only while you're recording a voice note, which you start and stop yourself.
Backups and sharing
When you make a backup, the app packs your recipes, photos and voice notes into one file and opens your phone's share sheet. The file goes only where you choose, such as your own WhatsApp chat, Google Drive, email or another phone. Once it's there, that service's own privacy policy applies to it.
Restoring reads only the backup file you pick. Sharing a recipe sends it as text, only to the app and person you choose.
Your phone's own backup (such as iCloud or Google backup) may also save the app's data, depending on your phone's settings.
Children
The app is meant for people aged 13 and over; younger children can use it with a parent. It doesn't collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
Deleting your data
Delete a recipe from its page in the app, along with its photos and voice notes. To remove everything, uninstall the app. Backup files you've saved elsewhere stay where you put them until you delete them.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
